What Makes Pocoyo So Popular?

Pocoyo is already more than an animation series. Pocoyo is a boy who is recognized all over the world. You can find Pocoyo in many places such as on television, the Internet and now on other platforms such as mobile phones. Pocoyo is everywhere.

Pocoyo is a four-year-old charmer who has gathered a crew of friends to explore his world: Pato, his duck, Loula, his dog, Ellie, his elephant, and Sleeping Bird, Little Bird, Egg, and Octopus (you can guess). There are newer characters also: space aliens, spiders and more. He was created in Spain where his name means "Little Me", but he is international. This series appears in 100 countries.

The characters, storylines, sounds and visual appeal of Pocoyo have been carefully researched to ensure that it is perfectly tailored to encourage child development. Pocoyo takes pre-school entertainment one step further - it is visually very different to any other pre-school programme. Its innovative use of CGI animation allows Pocoyo to become a very real child - he moves, talks, plays and learns like a toddler, and he can sulk and throw tantrums like only a toddler can!

Viewers are encouraged to recognise situations that Pocoyo is in, and things that are going on with or around him. Each character has its own distinctive dance, and most episodes end with the characters dancing. Many Pocoyo english episodes also involve parties.

The technical quality in the development of each chapter, along with the original storylines created by Andy Yerkes, Ken Scarborough and Director Guillermo Garcia Carsí, excellent sound and the meticulous animations have made Pocoyo a high quality product and a success all over the world.
