What Style Of Sunglasses Should I Get?

The lens is the most important part of sunglasses. There are many different types of lens coating that give the different effects you see on sunglasses. Polarised lenses are really good for looking at water, as they take out the reflected brightness. Anglers would find them good for seeing fish down under the water. Once you get a good pair of sunglasses, you dont want them to be easily ruined, so choosing a pair with a scratch-resistant coating is a good idea.

While mirrored coating on lenses may look cool, it wont last long because this type of finish is very easily scratched. Photochromatic lenses are good, as they will change from light to dark, depending on the amount of glare. This means you wont have to take them off as soon as you drive into that rather dim car park at the mall. An anti reflexive coating is also good, as this will prevent the glare bouncing from the back on the sunnies into your eyes.

Frames and styles are important too, and the wrap-around style gives the most eye protection. Properly fitting frames are essential for comfort and to help keep those sneaky little rays sliding in over the edges. Strong frames will keep your sunnies from twisting out of shape or breaking when you drop them.
