What You Need To Know When Planning A Trip To Wales
The Castles Did you know that there are 427 castles located in Wales and they come in varieties, such as earthwork castles of the primitive kind all the way to the more known stone castles of the Welsh princes. The amazing Bute Park scenery, which includes Cardiff Castle in the center of town, creates the backdrop for this festival of green thumbs. For music lovers, Wales features the incomparable Welsh festival of music and poetry, known as the National Eisteddfod of Wales. Held every year, it hales from the Bardic gatherings of 1176. This is a terrific opportunity to learn and participate in the Welsh language revival and to hear this rare yet beautiful language spoken. And lastly, any trip here has to include a visit to St. David’s Cathedral. Located on the site of a 6th century monastery, this site actually makes it a city. And while it may be the tiniest city you’ve probably ever seen, it’s also the loveliest, as it features artists, travelers of all stripes, and others.
