What Is Hypnotism?

When used in the hands of a good practitioner, hypnosis can be used to help the patient replace fear, trauma and addiction by confidence and freedom. Hypnosis can also be used to create comic situations as I'm sure you all have witnessed in your favorite TV shows. For it work, the person being hypnotized needs to be whiling to do be so, as it doesn't work without the patient authorization. Using simple suggestions, the hypnotherapist can reprogram the subject unconscious and positively impact his/her life.

If you're not getting any results with hypnotism, you've been probably trying complicated hypnosis methods without first mastering the basics. It is extremely important for the beginner practitioners to first master easy hypnotic approaches such as self and conversational hypnotism, and only then move into more advanced ones. You can also become more familiarized with the different stages of hypnotic trance by being hypnotized yourself.

Self Hypnotic Trance

To get yourself started you should first master self hypnosis. If you're serious about becoming a good hypnotherapist you need to develop a deep understanding about the different stages of a successful trance and the only way to achieve that is if you experience one yourself. All you have to do is to adopt a comfortable body position and let yourself go into a deep state of relaxation before you can make suggestions to your subconscious mind.

Once you end up very relaxed, start giving your mind constructive suggestions to change your response in areas of your life you are not satisfied with or that you feel could be improved. Start with things like motivation, happiness, self esteem, etc. All you have to do is imagine and suggest what you are trying to attain.

Conversational unconscious Suggestions

This hypnosis technique is a little bit more sophisticated than self-hypnosis, but it is still classified as being very simple. It is used to communicate with someone else's unconscious mind without them even knowing. It is often used to retrieve information from someone that they normally wouldn't be able to share while conscious. It is often used on victims of crimes that are fearful of remembering what happened, but it can be used for many other purposes as well.

To be become a good hypnotherapist you first need to develop a strong understanding of the simple hypnotism techniques. Start by practicing self and conversational hypnotism and then and only then go into more advanced methods.
