This sort of user-to-user file sharing has been one of the most impressive developments among the Internet’s already transformative technologies. The Internet has always been a place where people exchange information and the Usenet newsgroups were among the first places that people engaged in these transactions.

A Usenet search can also be used to find individuals who may be of use when you need a question answered. For instance, there are science groups where accomplished individuals oftentimes carry on debates.
