The most pleasurable,best sports auction experience on the Web can be found at Sports-Trader. Why would we make such a bold statement? Well, let’s look into that for a minute or two. In order to provide the best selection of Football Cards, Baseball Cards, Basketball Cards and Sports Memorabilia, we knew we would need many people to list and sell their items. The only question was, how do we get people to come to our site instead of another? With that thought in mind we set out to see what things we didn’t like about other sites similar to ours and at almost every stop, we found something that we felt we would do differently. This is a short list of things we found and improved upon.
The First thing we noticed was lag….in some cases severe. I personally lost out on 3 fine Topps Baseball cards , a Hank Arron Rookie card, a Babe Ruth card and a Ted Williams card, not to mention a Tom Brady, Brett Favre and Peyton Manning autographed Triple Threads card….. but the capper had to be the Autographed Michael Jordan Rookie Card. I lost out on all these because the lag was so great, my bids wouldn’t go through in time. Man, was I bitter!! We decided right then and there, never on Sports-Trader, its on a Secure, Dedicated server with an active SSL. This allows us to have an Incredibly Fast website, virtually free from lag.
The next feature we made sure we had was something not often thought of as a “feature”……..Simplicity. It seemed like at times we had to jump through flaming hoops in order to find the Football, Baseball, Basketball Cards or Sports Memorabilia we wanted. We made sure Sports-Trader was easy on the eyes, with a simple arrangement and the focus being on the Sports Trading Cards and other items up for auction, not fancy ads or storefront scams that don’t support themselves.
Third on the list, but First in our hearts was Affordability/Seller Friendliness. We bought and sold items on sites similar to ours, and while the cost as a buyer wasn’t always terrible, the fees to list and sell were often not to our liking. We made sure that Sports-Trader ’s fees are some of the best and most Seller Friendly found on the Web. We also have an Auto Extend/Anti Bid-Sniper function for sellers that extends the auction if someone bids in the last minute to allow for counter bidding, and therefore a more proper, realistic auction setting.
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget the buyer on our quest to be the best ! One thing that really stood out to us was that the other sites didn’t give anything back to their members. Our solution to that was this….we hold regular drawings for awesome Sports Trading Cards! Our first drawing will be held at 50 registered users and the prize is an autographed Adrian Peterson Sweet Spot Rookie Signatures card!! Another drawing will be held at 100 users and who knows ,maybe it will be Rare Baseball or Basketball Cards. Our pages have a great pop-up photo feature that allows you to see the card without clicking on the description, just put your cursor over a picture and poof, its magnified for you to see. This Feature alone costs up to .75 cents at our competitors sites. Our Gallery Page is second to None.
Well ,there you have it. These are the best answers we can give for the question of why we feel that Sports-Trader is indeed the finest sports auction experience you will find. We are a very young site, but the glowing reviews from our customers so far, along these great features, only lend credence to our claim.
