What Makes Great Canvas Prints?
And while quality is important in making canvas prints, so is experience. Stretching must be done to just the correct tension if your canvas print is not to warp. The laminate must be applied correctly and when colour correction is done, experience is certainly necessary to make the colours in your canvas print look natural. If you don't know much about canvas prints it is hard to know what questions to ask when choosing materials. Always be sure to ask for a quality canvas; 300 gsm (grams per square metre) unglossed is good quality, while 120 gsm is basically not much better than paper. Some people use glossed canvas so they can do without the laminate, but it will look tacky and not last. Canvas can be a poly/cotton mix or a superior grade of 100% cotton. Either one will be good for your canvas prints. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Mel writes about canvas prints, canvas printing and other shopping topics. |
