What’s Best? Cheap Family Holidays Or Going For A Lavish Family Complex Option? You Decide…
Choosing the best holiday available to you for your family can be awkward. There are so many different options available to everyone it can be a tough call to make and if you’ve never taken the family away before it might seem like a real minefield to you. Ultimately the two main things to consider are the value for money you are getting from any deal and possibly most importantly making the right decisions that will help keep your children happy. Firstly, it's best to take into consideration all of the different star ratings, board basis', facilities and activities at the different accomodations you are looking at. Work out if one place in particular stands out as being more cost effective than the others. There might be a place that stands out from the rest for you, which would really help matters.
Secondly, you need to remember that if your children are content and occupied whilst on holiday, then the more likely it is that everyone in your party will have a good time when you’re away. As a child, I can remember being happy and content just simply playing games on the beach or in the sea with friends and family and enjoying the freedom that this gave me; I was in my element. Kids like to do their own things and most of the time they are probably not bothered by anything too elaborate, they just want to play. Even at Christmas time they are usually more interested in the all boxes and the bubble wrap, rather than any of their new presents!
The freedom that a self catering deal gives you is brilliant, but just remember that it might end up being expensive if you have to pay for everything once you’re away. If you choose to go all-inclusive instead, do some extra research and find out if it has the right family facilities (things like playgrounds and waterslides) for you, because the hotel won’t then just be a base; you will be spending a lot of time there. If your children are fussy eaters, do you think they could manage eating at the same hotel restaurant night after night? Whether you decide that cheap family holidays are right up your street or plum for something a little more exclusive, just make sure that you try to consider every angle, because after all making a bad decision on a holiday isn’t something anyone wants to do.
