The faster the current is on the river that you are fishing means that you are going to need a heavier sinker as the current will just take it away otherwise leaving little point. Many people say that they prefer fishing on rivers that have a fast current but I completely disagree with this as it is going to be a lot more difficult to catch fish especially if you are a beginner, you will need to make sure all of your fishing tackle gear is correct and that you have it all set up correctly if you are planning on fishing fast current rivers. The best places for beginners to fish are behind a current in a pooled part of the river. Or also the best places are near the reeds and near to the banks of a river. All in all you need to think quite carefully when buying fishing tackle but remember to keep it as simple as possible otherwise you will end up getting confused and buying fishing tackle that you really shouldn’t.
