When Someone Has Broken Your Heart – Was It Really Worth It?
When someone has broken your heart, was it really worth it? The heart break.
There are two questions here:
1. The first one is: Was the relationship really worth it? Are you feeling terrible because you had a great relationship going, but you got dumped? Or are you feeling bad because you got dumped and that's how you are suppose to feel. Really spend some time thinking about this one. Was the relationship everything you wanted it to be? Or did you have some doubts? The biggest question for you right now is "Is it worth fighting for?"
2. The second one is: Was the issue that caused the breakup really worth it (breaking up the relationship)? Usually the issue is something that gets blown out of proportion. The question really becomes: what's more important, the relationship, or the issue we argued about? There are issues that may be more important, but you have to decide that.
Having given the above your serious consideration, if you decide that your relationship is more important than the issue that caused the turmoil, then you have to come up with a plan to get your boyfriend back.
The first thing you have to do is realize that good relationships are about commitment and compromise. And the second thing is that all the commitment and compromise can't be coming from one side. Both of you are going to have to work at it. If you don't see that happening in your relationship, than go back to question #1 above. But this isn't something you should be talking to him about at this point. If you did you would just push him away. But after you get back together, this is something that you should have an honest discussion about.
