2012 is also considered to be the year where major changes in the world will take place. While others see it as the end of the world, and still other view it as the coming of a new era for man. There are numerous books and e-books about this subject and most have several basis varying from very old prophecies to modern scientific research. Apart from prophecies scientific studies also predict several world events to take place in 2012 and these are mostly cosmic in nature. From these, there is the anticipated event wherein the planets align believed to eventually result in sun's radiation to hit the earth and make a catastrophic impact non our planet earth. Another is the polar reversal which will cause melting of the polar ice caps, setting off sea water to rise and sinking lands. One more claim is that NASA was able to discover a planet hiding behind the sun, believed to impact earth and the calculated time is on December 2012. While there are other people who say that it will be a giant meteor impacting earth; they are also believed to cause giant tidal waves worldwide. What is more, there are many ebooks about how to survive this holocaust; and like any controversial issues that arise, there are many responses to them; disbelief, skepticism, some think it is a joke, and others think it is a scam to fool people into paying for so-called life-saving information. And while there are those countless of people who are into thinking that there is some truth in this issue but still need further convincing, there are also countless of people living in the Netherlands who accept these things as true and believe each one of the prophecies and have actually began their preparation for the coming of this phenomenal change. The Netherlands has been slowly submerging actually and the people blame it to the uncontrollably increasing population; while there are also some people who view it as a good thing to bring them a new world and a second chance.
