Where To Begin When Planning A Baby Shower

Your best friend is going to have a baby. You want to give her a wonderful baby shower. But, where do you start? If this is you, read on for help getting started.

I will not get into a ton of boring details. I will explain a few short simple rules. If you follow these you are sure to be on your way to a stress free Baby Shower.


1. Keep it simple. The more elaborate the details the more stress there will be to complete the shower.

2. Allow 4 weeks to plan the shower. Make sure the invitations go out at least 3weeks before the shower. This will help you get a head count of how many guests will be attending.

3. Theme for the party. Every party needs a theme. Remember this is an exciting day for the mommy to be. Consider the theme and colors used in the new baby room when selecting the theme for the shower. Alternately, ask the new mom for her favorite color theme. Use this throughout the event.

4. Games for the party. When deciding on games it is best to pick 3 or 4 different games.When selecting the games think about the guests. Choose games that everyone would want to participate in.
