The best fishing in the United States is in the Florida Keys. According to the International Game Fish Association, anglers have caught more world record saltwater fish in the Florida Keys than anywhere else in the world.

With the Gulf of Mexico on the west and the Atlantic Ocean on the east, anglers in the Keys can take Florida deep sea fishing charters offshore to reach deep water in either direction. Next are Big Pine Key and the lower Keys. This is a complex area that includes Sugarloaf Key, Summerland Key, Cudjoe Key, Big Torch Key, Little Torch Key and Big Coppitt Key, as well as a group of uninhabited islands called the Saddlebunch Keys. This area includes many mangrove islands and sandy lagoons that are prime locations for fishing.
