White Water Excitement!

You are most likely going to become quite excited and eager with your first experience seeing the white water rapids. Once you have made the decision to take up rapid sports, the whitewater is something that you are going to be faced with on your first few adventures. To you they may seem quite turbulent because of all the bubbles that are being created by the aerated unstable currents. To the seasoned rapid sports adventurer however, the white water is not considered to be the most turbulent when compared to other types of flow that is found in many of the rapids

If you are asked to go Whitewater canoeing or Whitewater kayaking then it will be to a ride the rapids of the Whitewater. Often these bodies of water can contain many different forms of rapids
If you have decided to participate in rapid sports then you must begin the study of at least the basics. You may want to start with the white water rapids and although this may seem like the ultimate there are many more types of rapids that you will be exposed to.

You will enjoy working your way through 6 categories of white water rapids, starting with the basic and the easiest at level one. As you gain your confidence and expertise you can work your way through all the levels up to six being the most challenging.
If you dream of beating a level six rapid and manage to do so then you will probably see that rapid reduced to a level five. In your first experience at the level one you can expect a fairly easy ride of a level surface without too many obstacles.
You will experience portage, which means bypassing a hazard by going to land and carrying your boat past the hazard.

Never under estimate the power of the white water. It can be very unpredictable, and you can find yourself in difficulties in the blink of an eye. You must never ever contemplate going out alone and ensure that at least one of your members is experienced. The best suggestion will be to go out with a proper training school.
