Of course, in order to be successful as a court reporter, a genuine interest in the legal process is a necessity. Someone who is doing this job only to pay the bills will not put their heart into it and is likely to make silly errors that could turn into big problems. Someone who is truly interested in the judicial system will find this job satisfying and exciting on a daily basis.

Before enrolling in court reporting schools, it is important for individuals to consider whether or not this is the career path they should be going down. It is a perfect job for someone who is interested in the judicial process and possesses excellent typing skills. It is also helpful for candidates to have long attention spans and a basic knowledge of computers.
