We have so many festivals. All of them are days of some kind of celebration. But for some reasons Christmas gives most of us more joy. Why is that so? What may be the possible reasons? Have you felt the difference in the air during Christmas time? Everything looks and feels so different, with most faces smiling. The days are not different but our feelings are surely different and festive. Let us find out why a festival that essentially celebrates birth of Christ brings so much joy. Let us explore. 1. Christmas is celebrated all over the world. Most of the people around the world celebrate Christmas. That brings the world together. When you watch Christmas programs on TV, you can find out about how Christmas was celebrated around the world. That brings all of us together. 2. Christmas is identified with Santa. Santa is fun. That brings cheer to everyone on Christmas. 3. Tall Christmas trees that are decorated in so many ways and the lights and decorations all add to the festivity. 4. Jingles and carols that are sung aloud during Christmas bring fresh air in the season. 5. Christmas is a festival of giving. Therefore all of us expect gifts and that causes happiness and anticipation. 6. The markets, malls and all shops have festive look during Christmas. A walk during Christmas is very different than that on other days. The whole atmosphere is different because of celebration. 7. The long holidays from Christmas to New Year bring a relaxed feeling in all of us. We all therefore look forward to holidays. 8. Christmas time brings out the best in cooks. They cook mouth-watering recipes and that feels great. 9. Every church has the festive look and special sermons. Christmas displays around the churches look great and everybody visits the church on these days.
