Why Friends Are Better Than Relatives?

No matter where we go or what we do, it is our friends who stand by us and accept us just the way we are. Think about the time you had your first heart-break. On who's shoulder did you cry? Who was the person with whom you got drunk for the first time or smoked your first cigarette? Who was that person who always believed in you even when your parents said that you were useless? That person was none other than your friend.

Our families have some level of authority over us. Most of the time, we cannot tell them as and what we want to. Very often generation gap poses a barrier to the level of understanding that we share with our parents. It is our friends with whom, we can do all the crazy and absolutely insane things that we always dream of. It is our friends who know us inside out, and way more than any of our relatives do. Friends don't necessarily need to become our relatives. But if we want a good relationship with our family, it is very important to first become friends with them. Friendship is one relationship with which we can feel at ease. We feel comfortable with our friends. We feel like being ourselves. The next reason is, we don't get a chance to choose our relatives, God picks them for us. All we got to do is accept them, the way they are. They are stuck with us for the better or the worst. However the great part of life is, we very much get to pick our friends. We get to decide who is our friend and who is not. So when your friends accept you they way you are, it is completely their decision. They don't have any sort of compulsion to and this is what makes your relationship so special. Many-a-times, we find ourselves frustrated with problems happening at home with our families. Even at times like this, it is our friends with whom we always manage to find solace.

Friendship is one of the most beautiful relationships ever. Friendship is the mixture of all the best qualities in the world. It includes understanding, love, sacrifice, trust and communication. As if these qualities were less, friendship also has fun and laughter. It is way above any other relationship in the world.
