Why Sports Fans Love Satellite Tv

It’s hard to be a sports fanatic when you are limited by the technology of broadcast television. Broadcast TV only allows you to watch a few games a week of your favorite sports. Furthermore, reception on public television is not that good. DTV hasn’t seemed to help every consumer get a clear picture. You may not get any fuzzy reception but if your channel has a weak signal you can expect to see nothing but black and occasional quick shots of the “crystal clear picture.”

Little wonder then that many consumers, the ones that really enjoy their sports, have chosen satellite TV as their new provider. Yes, of course cable TV offers many sports packages as well, and in fact, both cable and satellite companies may offer the exact same package. For example, Major League Baseball’s Extra Innings package, which features up to 80 games a week and 40 games in HD format, is available from both cable and satellite companies.

However, satellite TV does offer strong advantages over cable, mainly in the exclusive packages. For example, you have the NFL Sunday Ticket. This package gives NFL fans 200 games a season, more than any other venue nationwide. There are also interactive features to look forward to such as player trackers, enhanced games, the NFL Network channel, and The Red Zone, which operates similarly to an in-demand feature but lets you flip back and forth between live games. There is also a feature called The Game Mix (available for the NFL and MLB) which lets viewers watch eight games on one screen.

Furthermore, with the NFL SuperCast option (an add-on to NFL Sunday Ticket) viewers can actually access their sports coverage on their desktop or laptop computer. They can watch the Red Zone channel and get live games in HD and in full screen mode, just as if they were watching football on a home TV. They can also minimize the screen if they wish to multitask. This feature is also available for NBA League Pass. All the user has to do in log into the official homepage and type in a password. This is ideal for users who travel a lot and who frequently stay at hotels (or even friends’ houses) with limited TV sports coverage.

When it comes to sports, satellite TV has the advantage. Satellite TV provides all of the competitive packages available for the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB and MLS as well as coverage of international sports. There are also other sports packages that provide general coverage of major sports (a price-saving option) like ESPN’s Game Plan, ESPN’s Full Court and Sports Pack.

If you are interested in real sports coverage then you have to order satellite TV. This is the most comprehensive way of keeping track of all your favorite teams in multiple leagues of competition. Packages are affordable and customizable. You don’t have to pay for any features you’re not going to use. Contact your local provider and ask about satellite TV for sports.
