Why Staying Close To Your Ex May Ruin Your Chances To Get Him Back

Of all the mistakes you could possibly make… staying close to your ex after a breakup is one of the worst. Of course you want to spend as much time with your ex as you possibly can to show him how much he’s going to miss you and how much he’ll regret not having you to hold and kiss. Unfortunately, if you’re there, he’s not going to see that. There are a number of logical excuses to stay close to your ex. However, here is proof as to why logic isn’t always the answer and why you shouldn’t stay near your ex after a breakup.

Keep In Control

Quite frankly everything gets turned upside down when it comes to fighting. There are no boundaries and everything you’ve been holding back will come out faster than you think. Most of it you’ll regret saying later. So what if he clips his toenails while on the bed? Does that change how you feel for him? You likely said it annoyed you to which he agreed that when you chew gum it annoys him and the fight about who annoyed who more ensues and it’s just all a mess from there. If you’re not around, you can’t decide who was the most annoying.

Avoid Being Taken Advantage Of

You care so much about your ex that you are likely to try and do anything to keep him around even if that means he gets to continue seeing other girls while you’re waiting for him at home. You’ve obviously played a big part in his life and it is necessary to let him see how big a role you were. When he broke up with you, he decided to lose you. That’s the angle you have to look at it from: he lost you, you didn’t lose him.

The number one mistake girls make is thinking that they can convince their ex to stay with them by showing their ex exactly how much they are willing to do for them. You don’t deserve this. You need someone that is as dedicated to you and your relationship as you are.

Make him face the truth of breaking up with you. Give him about a month to realize the role you played and make him decide if he wants you back or not. When he sees the crater you left in his life, he’s going to wish for you to come back. By leaving, you’re giving him a chance to realize he needs you to fill the void in his life.
