Why You Should Never Use Templates In Invitation Printing

Every event is unique. Whether it is a birthday party, a wedding or even a mundane conference, there are many factors that make them original and noteworthy. These unique things are your selling points for your event and the same concept goes for invitation printing for them as well. When you print invitations, it is important that they be distinct from any kind of invitation before them. This means that invitation templates should not be one your options when printing. Using invitation printing templates may sound easy and comfortable, but without any kind of distinctive element to them there is a great chance for it to be ignored. There are three major arguments against using templates for invitations.

Templates look common and boring: First, invitation templates will always look mundane and of course boring. Since lots of people use templates in their designs these days, it is easy to spot lots of common elements in most invitations. If you have seen a lot of invitations yourself this can really add up leading to a bland impression for most of the invitations that you or other people may receive. It is basically the “I have seen that before” expression which causes people not to take the invitation too seriously. That is why it is important to break this cycle by inventing something new that is never based on a template.

Templates do not show what your event is about: Secondly, templates can never hope to match the true nature and identity of your event. Some may achieve something that comes close to the theme, but they can really never match it. You have to design the invitation from the ground up yourself to make all possible design elements match the theme of your event. Nothing beats true customization like this, and people will consider the invitation as uniquely crafted with an attention to detail that no template can ever achieve.

Templates take away the specialness of the event: Finally templates can take away the specialness of the event. Imagine seeing your wedding invitations duplicated for another wedding. Since some invitation printers offer standard templates this can possibly happen. Though technically that situation should not be the issue, it will likely take away the specialness or novelty of the color invitations if other people are already using it. Templates make everything “un-unique” to begin with, so it is very advisable to design and print your own concepts to make your invitations unique and memorable for all.

So what are you waiting for? Dump those presentation folder templates and start firing up those creative engines in your brain. You won't regret using original and interesting invitations when you compare them to the template made ones.
