Why Your Family Needs An Emergency Fund
You never know when your job may not be there or if a family member becomes ill which leaves you unable to pay for the things you may need in order to keep your home, car health, not to mention your sanity. Many kinds of insurance do not cover natural disasters, especially in places that are prone to the so called 'acts of nature'. If you do not have medical insurance you may find that you are not able to cover the medical expenses needed to help to get you back fighting fit, or in worse case scenario to save your life. You should definitely keep some money set aside, enough to cover your basic expenses for a minimum of three months, more if possible which will mean should your regular money stop or reduce, you will be sure that you can cover your basic needs. All family budgets should include emergency planning for the inevitable. It could be that you are financially secure but even still should there be a case where you have noticed fraudulent use on your bank account it is always good to open another in case all funds going in and out are stopped at the one. Even the most highly planned routines can go to pot if something comes up, you never know what is round the corner so it is best to ensure that any event is planned for well in advance so that you know that you and your family will not go without, and you are able to make ends meet through hard times. Even if you can only put a small amount by each week or month ensure that you do, even if it means cutting back on life's little luxuries or going for cheaper brands for a while so that you have something put by...
