Why Affiliate Marketing And Not Network Marketing

There was the era of network marketing where people spread the idea of their business through word-of mouth. Many have benefited from that era and they have become successful millionaires. However, network marketing was in boom time 30 years ago. So what happens to ordinary people like you and I? We can’t turn back time to 30 years ago and benefit from the network marketing era. Are we stuck in the rut? Are we doomed to fail? Of course not!

Now, the craze is about the internet. Many hopefuls are trying to set up their business on the internet as it has many advantages that come with it. First, is the speed at which transactions are done. It is almost immediate. Bills can be paid through internet banking, and a successful transaction will only take seconds. Second, is the ease of doing shopping in the comfort of your own home. Shopping sites like eBay and Amazon.com has been successful in selling goods over the internet. Also, with the internet the number of potential buyers that you can reach through advertisement is really amazing. There are over 1 billion internet users over the world. Now, if you can tap only 10% of those potential buyers, just imagine what kind of business you will have.

So, with the speed and the vast availability of potential consumers tied together with the system of the network marketing industry, you have an ideal business called, affiliate marketing.

For those people who always hated to go to meetings, cold calling and buying products, affiliate marketing is your answer. You never have to do any of the those. It is ideal for the stay-at-home mum, the student or a just anyone who wishes to get an extra income.

The idea of setting up your own “business” by being a member of a network marketing company is either to have extra income, spend more time with your family or get that dream vacation that you’ve always wanted. However, most of the time, people get themselves in to network marketing because they want to spend more time with their family. Ironically, through network marketing, it is an uphill task to be successful in your business and spend quality time with your family as well. This is simply because, you have to go out to meet people to show them your business plan in other for people to join you as a member and thus generating and income for you. If you’re not out there meeting your prospects, you are not making money.

However, with affiliate marketing, you spend your time at home because it is a home based business where you only need a computer and an internet connection. All business “meetings” are done online and you build your business from home. So, for the mum, she can build her business while watching her kids and still have time to cook dinner.

Needless to say, the internet does not recognize race, colour or language. Thus, ANYONE can create their own income through the internet without people judging you. You be the judge of you. Whether you succeed or not in your business is based on your own efforts.
