Mothers have one of the toughest jobs in the world. Introducing a new life to the world is a huge responsibility in itself but the work does not end there. The child must be cared for, day and night, nurtured and taught. Can all this be done while the mom goes out of the home and pursues a career? Well, many women manage and we applaud them. At the same time we say, why not be a work at home mom? The best choices for work at home moms are ones that allow them to make a name in the market niche they choose, while being able to play a prominent role in the life of their families-most importantly, the children. To some women, this may seem a dubious role but to others, it’s the perfect balance. Working at home means you are able to keep an eye on the kids and devote more time and attention for them. This can make a big difference to their upbringing. Simply by being there, you can make the bond stronger. It applies to every age level in your child’s life. If you have a baby or a toddler, staying at home can be a necessity, not a choice, unless you are one of the lucky few living with your parents. Grandparents love pitching in and doing their part for little ones. Then again, a child needs his/her parents, mostly the mom, in the process of growing up. If you work at home it’s an investment for your kids, plus it makes life very easy for you. Imagine the hours away from home, with your mind on anything other than work. Every working mom experiences a few crazy moments, when she wonders whether her kids are safe at home or school, without her. Mentally, it can be an exhausting experience thinking about all the things that can go wrong. On the other hand, work- at-home moms can stop worrying because they are within easy reach of the kids, any time of day. The flexibility that comes from doing your own thing is priceless when you have a family. We don’t need to do research to know that many young women who start out working around the clock, tend to distance themselves from demanding work hours when they settle down. Sometimes that’s the only way to make it to your son’s baseball game or take your daughter and her friends out for a much anticipated picnic. You can be impulsive, cooking the family a grand dinner when you feel like it or taking the kids to Disneyland on a whim. Since you are your own boss, you can easily shift the schedule to fit in that precious time with your children. Afterall, when it comes to being a mom, time lost in your child’s life can never be gained.
