Will It Stay On The Wall?
At first I was quite wary about putting the screens on the wall, even using an approved bracket seemed too risky. After much convincing from a friend I took the 32” off a wooden bookcase and put it on the chimney breast, I used 4” long screws and some “no more nails” glue to make sure it doesn’t fall off. After much testing and a whole year of the 32” being on the wall I then decided it was time to put the large 46” on the wall too. For this TV I used an approved super slim and easy fit bracket, it’s not actually a bracket, it’s more like two picture frame hooks. The LED screen is so light and thin that just two small hooks can sustain its weight. This LED screen also went on a chimney breast, I only used 2.5” screws for this one, and didn’t see the need to use any “no more nails” glue. My newest telly is for the study room, for this one I have used a swivel and tilt bracket which has an elbow. The bracket is secured to the wall with only four screws; I used 3” screws with metal wall plugs. So far so good, all my tellies are still on the wall and hopefully that’s how they’ll stay!
