Wine Merchant Turton Wines Expands Its Unusual Wine Range With Wines From Tasmania. A Devilishly Goo

With cooler temperatures than Australia its a perfect place for the likes of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. Not as experienced as New Zealand but very up and coming in the world of wine. Tasmanian wines are noted for their naturally high acidity and good balance of fruit flavour that tend to age well.
Turton Wines, specialises in unusual wines. The range of wines from Rosevear Estate are sourced from the Tamar River and drier East Coast regions. This small but perfectly formed and attractive range of wines are made at the Estate which looks out over the Tamar River estuary north of Launceston on the Northern side of the island.

Cellar Notes: after crushing the fruit was fermented on skins in closed fermentors with regular plunging and pumping over. This has allowed gentle extraction of flavours while still retaining the ripe fruit flavours and avoiding the extraction of harsh tannins and astringency.

Appearance: deep cherry red

Aromas: ripe dark plum and cherry aromas with a dash of spicy plum

Palate: dominated by beguiling ripe cherry flavours with a touch of spiciness that combine to fill the front and mid-palate. Fine, soft tannins and balancing acidity make this a soft, easy drinking style with loads of flavour.

Serving suggestions: this is an early drinking style with fresh upfront fruit flavours. It is ideal to enjoy now without the need to further cellar. Great for summer entertaining served with char grilled atlantic salmon or a pasta dish with a spicy herb infused sauce
