Winner Of The Biggest Bingo Ever Is Feeling Generous
A woman in the UK has won over £1 million playing bingo. Really. Most people wouldn't think that bingo could bring about that kind of prize, but there are some games where prizes build up until a person can win a tremendous amount of money.
Christine Bradfield was the lucky recipient of that tremendous amount of money. She has been playing the game ever since she was eighteen and loves it, playing about twice a week. When she started playing at her current location, it was eleven years ago. She won a few and lost a few, but never had anything really spectacular happen to her when it came to her bingo playing – it was just a relatively inexpensive hobby that she enjoyed for a long period of time and it wasn't bothering anyone else.
She never expected to win something that big but now she and her husband Ray, who makes a living driving a crane, won't have to worry about money so much like they did in the past. She works as well, dealing with a part-time job several days a week, and neither one of them plan to give up their jobs, because she thinks she would just be out shopping all the time if she didn't work, and she'd spend all the money that she just won.
Generous to a fault, she plans to share the wealth with her sister-in-law and use much of it to spoil her grandchildren, rather than live the life of leisure that she could now enjoy if she wanted to. At 53, she could retire from her part-time job if she chose to, but instead wants to put the money to good use for those who come after her, which is seen as admirable by many different people.
