Wow Skinning Guide
Just like herbalism, skinning is a money make skill, as the materials you collect from it will always be in demand in the auction house. If you chose leatherworking as your other primary skill, skinning takes on a new level of importance. Otherwise, you’ll be selling in bulk in the auction house and over the trade channel. Being a skinner is the quickest way to make friends with a leatherworker. Skinning is definitely a money maker and, even on its own, will definitely make up for the time you put into it. Supplementing your leatherworking skill, however, is where the real money is made. By cutting out the costs of the leather, you could sell your leatherworking creations at a more reasonable price, and pull undercut a large amount of the competition. This is a strategy that can be used for many of the crafting skills that require gathering materials, and it really works. There aren’t too many shortcuts when leveling your skinning skill. There are a few items that buff up your skill to allow you to skin higher level creatures, but these are only particularly useful at lower levels. Is it worth investing in this skill? Absolutely, yes. The money that you can acquire from this skill on its own make it worth the time you will invest into leveling it. If you choose not to take leatherworking to compliment this skill, than it is recommended that you take another gathering skill as a means to propel yourself into another area of the market. This will allow you to generate a huge amount of income to your character, and give you the funds needed to outsource any actual crafting you may need done. With skinning, it is important to be mindful of which skins are in the highest demand, which you will learn in this guide. There are definitely more glorified skills in the game of the World of Warcraft, but skinning is one of them that requires little effort for the amount of gold it returns to you. You are gaining access to valuable materials that are otherwise ignored by those who do not take up this skill. Many times, you don’t even need to kill the animal, just follow closely behind someone and skin the animals left behind. As with any of the other skills, it is wise to have a plan of action before embarking on the journey to reach master so as to optimize the time you spend on it. This guide will provide you with the incite you’ll need to get the job done.
