Wofford College Basketball
The Wofford men’s basketball team was last year’s Southern Conference champion and received a bid to the NCAA Tournament. They are coming off back-to-back twenty game winning seasons, and they are well on their way to another one this year. Their overall record with about a month remaining in the season is 13-8, with a 6-3 record in conference play. There are several home games remaining on the schedule. The men play Western Carolina University on January 30 and Samford University on February 4. After three away games, the men are back at home against Elon University on February 15. Their last home game will be on February 25 against Furman. All remaining home games are important conference match ups. The men’s head coach is Mike Young, who is in his 23rd season with the Terriers and his 10th as head coach. The women’s basketball team has struggled this season but has already surpassed last season’s wins. The women have a 9-10 record overall but are just 2-8 in conference play. Five home games remain on their schedule. The women will play Georgia Southern on January 30, UT Chattanooga on February 4, and Samford on February 6. Following an away game at Appalachian State, the women will return home to play Western Carolina on February 11. The final home game will be against Furman on February 22. These remaining home games are all conference games. The women are coached by Edgar Farmer, who is currently in his 9th year as head coach. The Wofford men and women play their home games in Benjamin Johnson Arena. The arena is part of the Campus Life Building, which serves as a hub on campus for athletic, social, and cultural events. Wofford is one of the few schools in the U.S. to play their games on a parquet floor surface. The Campus Life Building is located on Evins Street, in the middle of the Wofford campus. Parking is available in adjacent lots. Single game ticket prices are $10 for general admission seating and $12 for reserved seating. Tickets may be purchased online. Game day tickets can be purchased at the arena one hour prior to tip-off. Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com Rebecca Allison is the General Manager at the Hampton Inn Spartanburg.
