Women And Self Esteem: What? Me? A Chicken-heart? 3 Big Tips To Walk Through Fear

A friend of mine was talking about her big beautiful horse Lukas, and she mentioned that although extremely talented, he is a 'chicken-heart' by nature. She was talking about the way he reacts to fear.

That struck a personal chord with me. I realized I am a chicken heart by nature too. I've been afraid my whole life.

My mom was a chronic worrier. Being a sensitive child, I soaked up her fear.

I had older brothers who delighted in frightening the little kids'. I was warned not to play by the creek because the boogey man would get me. There were monsters under the bed and things that went bump in the night.

The sky is falling... the sky is falling...

I grew up to fear the unknown. Always preparing for the worst-case scenario. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. Knowing that bad things always happen in 3's etc.

When faced with a new situation, I automatically focused on the negative possibilities.

Fear, uncertainty, doubt, worry. My constant companions. The eye glasses of my life.

No doubt about it: I was raised to be a chicken heart.

Not any more. I don't let fear run my life now. I changed and you can too.

Here's the thing...
Fear lives in the unknown. The bottom line with fear is a belief that whatever the circumstances "I can't handle it".
If this happens, then this will happen, and "I can't handle it"

The Law of Attraction states that:
- What you think is what you feel
- What you feel is what you vibrate
- What you vibrate is what you attract

The power point is always with your thoughts and the thankfully, you can always change what you think about. Isn't that great?

If you are afraid, you need to go back a step and become aware of your thoughts. From there you can consciously change them.

Here are 3 Big Tips to Walk Through Fear, even if you are a chicken heart too.

1. Ask yourself if your thinking is faulty.

Are you really in danger? Haven't you proved to yourself over and over again that you can indeed handle your life? Haven't you made it this far? Haven't you enjoyed many more successes in your life than failures? Aren't you creative enough to set yourself up for success this time? Don't you have positive resources to help you be successful? Aren't you a smart, capable woman?

2. Practice self-empowerment at all times.
The emphasis here is on the word 'practice'. This is a big one with life changing consequences. The benefits of consciously focusing on empowerment will spill over to all areas of your life.

Make sure that your self-talk is positive and believable. If you don't really believe your words, they aren't worth the time it takes to say them. Choose to believe in your ability to handle things. Tell yourself that you are creative and smart.

3. Learn creative visualization and goal setting.
Start with the end goal in mind and work backwards. What do you have to put in place to be successful with your goal?

Epilogue:
It goes without saying that a smart woman keeps herself safe at all times. That's just common sense.

It really doesn't matter what you are afraid of. Your fear is all in your mind. Start connecting with your personal power. Make your decisions from a platform of power and trust in your self. You can have, do and be absolutely anything you want.
