One of the first steps that you will take towards optimizing your equipment is getting enchants. Whether you are an enchanter or not there will be a point when you decide to get enchants. On certain items it may seem pretty obvious what enchants to get, but there are times when it can be difficult to determine the best enchant for your situation. Depending on whether you are focusing on PvE or PvP, having quality enchants can make a big difference.

One example would be a weapon enchant. If you are looking for a type of enchant that will increase a certain stat permanently or an enchant that has a chance on hit. Depending on your class and your focus you would have to determine which enchant would be best. From my experience I have always enjoyed having a chance on hit type of enchant for battlegrounds, because there are so many chances for it to work. As for an arena setting, I normally go for a permanent enchant, because you need a reliable source of damage. If the chance on hit enchant does not work during your battle than it is a wasted enchant. As for PvE it is a tougher decision, I would normally test a few enchants and determine which will work better for my need.
