Writing The Copy For Your Brochure Printing

Brochure printing is unlike the other promotional tools that a company uses to advance with the competition. This is far from a business card or a postcard and is also different from promotional materials like stickers or newsletter. The brochure is built as a versatile media you can transform into almost anything.

As a business, you should be very careful in creating your brochures. Make them attractive to lure clients. But don’t forget to be professional and be mindful of your customers’ needs.

The Contents
Make every part of your brochure count. Use every panel and space of this tool to entice people to buy your products or simply check out your website. Here are some tips that may be useful to you:

• Tag Line
Create a tag line or sort of a headline at the front page. It is a one liner or a few words that summarize the contents.

An example will be for clothes, suit the tag line according to the occasion or the season. Know what’s in and use it to efficiently market your line. For medicines, focus on the effect rather than the brand names.

• Personalize
Incorporate your brochure with a sense of identity. Let your brand identity or corporate image be reflected on your brochure so your clients can consistently identify you and form an idea of who you are.

If you are making brochures that intend to introduce your company of brand to your clients, try giving them a piece of history. A short letter from the company’s president would also do well.

In order to make your messages more assuring and persuasive at the same time, observe a different way of writing down your thoughts. Be more conversational. Instead of saying that the present clothing line is fabulous, say to your clients “You can enjoy a fabulous collection or You can look simply fabulous with this season’s collection.”

This is one simple idea you can use for your copy. Tweak your message according to what you’re selling.

• State facts
You don’t have to describe each product or service available in your brochure. Drop the flowery words for this tool.

If you’re selling clothes, include the basic things that your customers would want to know. These are the available colors, sizes and price. You can generally state information without overloading the senses. E.g. All shoe sizes available from 6 to 11. All items comes in sizes from XS to XXXL.

• Use pictures
Give your customers ideas on how your products look like. For clothes, show how such fit to different types of people. If your brochure contains gadgets, this will help them to pick what they’re really looking for.

• Sell
To attract more people to sign the forms and buy from you, include promotional techniques like slashing the prices. By giving discounts, people will be tempted to purchase more. You can also place a minimum amount of orders for their purchases to be shipped for free.

With the right contents for your brochures, people will surely look at your products and will buy from you when they find something that they can use.

• Order
You must not forget about the order forms. Save a space for your brochure as a business reply mail. Make sure that they are easy to understand and that people will not find a hard time filling those out. Just ask for the most vital information. Less is better.

Do this for your brochure printing projects and create a copy that will surely sell.
