Xian - Home Of The Imperial Tang

Xian Tang Dynasty known in ancient times as Changan is the capital of Shaanxi province. This province was called a gold city for its bountiful fertile soil, plenty of rainfall, a mild climate and the rich products. There are currently more than two million in population it is the worlds largest city.

Changan was much larger than medieval London as well as larger than the imperial Rome. This imperial dynasty ruled china from 618 A. D. To 907 A. D. Was preceded by Sui Dynasty and had a total of five dynasties to follow. Founders of the Tang Dynasty were the Li family who overtook the power of the empire during Sui Dynasty collapse.

Serving as the capital for twelve dynasties that have more than 1120 years of the earliest societies. Xians government is attempting to return the city to its previous glory. This city which is larger than Beijing Forbidden City, is loaded with gorgeous and breath taking architecture. They are noted for the elaborate history museum which contains stone tablets from the Tang dynasty.

Xian has the greatest degree of materials distribution in northern China and holds varieties of approximately one hundred thousand different services. The cities expansive businesses have not deterred the amount of gorgeous botanical gardens or historical beauty from being a large part of the city.

When traveling to Xian a must visit is the western market which has been reopen in the same spot it would have been fourteen hundred years earlier. And a city wall which is Chinas oldest and largest as well as best preserved defenses system.

The city of Changan was one of celebration many of which were quite large such as the Chinese New Year. The city also held a cold food festival and the Lantern Festival. The Lantern Festival was a large and colorful event, so large in fact that the city would remove the cities curfews for the celebrations full three days. During the imperial throne of 628A. D. To 758A. D. Were many wonderful, colorful and event filled carnivals.

The city was well known for its beauty and luxury. This city was the center of Chinas government during the tang dynasty and housed Da Min Gong which was the royal palace. The city is full of rich and bountiful history. During the late nineteen nineties there was an amazing discover of eight hundred royal tombs some of which contained miniature soldiers made of clay as well as remnants of sacrificial temples were also discovered. Early finds dating from the early 1974 and about twenty miles from the city six thousand figures completely life size was found in the tomb of the emperor Shih Huang ti.

Visiting the Xian Tang Dynasty offers many exciting historical features to visit such as the area in which the intricate figures were discovered. The Jiaozi which is a dumpling offers the highest representation of Chinese foods. The dumplings are extremely popular as they have been for thousands of years. A local restaurant known as Defachang offers twelve varieties of the delicious dumplings to be eaten while listening to the excellent traditional Chinese music the restaurant provides.
