Hey, you've heard before that you need to become the expert in your field, right? You need to be known as the "go to person" in your field of business. Why? Simply because it it increases sales. Whenever a potential prospect thinks of your market, they should think of you. For instance, whenever I think of fast food hamburgers I think of McDonald's. It's the reason why I blog. Because when ever a small business decides they want to increase profits, explode leads, and simply make more profits, I want them to think of me. I want you to think of The Small Business Marketing Blog. So, what does Yahoo Answers have to do with the Answer to becoming "Thee" expert in your field? Well, the other day I went to drop some bait in the Yahoo! Answers pool. I went and found people asking questions that were related to the fields I work in. Then, I gave genuine answers to their questions and referred them to my free report. I saw an instant spike in my traffic first, then I received a couple of emails today that said my answer was chosen as the "Top Answer". That said to me that people are loving the help, the solutions and the answers, and consider me to be the expert in my field. I am not saying that you have to go to Yahoo Answers and start answering questions, but you should find a pool of hungry fish related to your field and let them know that you're the expert by answering the pressing questions they have. They will love you for it! This will also increase the amount of liking and trust they have for you...And you already know that people buy from who they like and trust. When you help someone solve a problem that has been irritating them, they will naturally be drawn to you, making selling easy. You see, this approach puts you in the position as counselor or adviser. Not a salesperson. That way, when you recommend a product, they will receive the recommendation as if it came from a friend...someone they like and trust, and not from someone who is only just trying to make a quick buck (salesperson). People like to buy, but they don't like to be sold to. To your immediate and lasting small business marketing success!
