Yeast Free Diets - A Guide To A Healthier, Happier You!

So what exactly is a yeast free diet? Well, for those of you who don't already know this is a diet usually followed by people looking to live a healthier lifestyle or by people who are yeast intolerant. The main goal of this diet is to inhibit the Candida yeast inside of our bodies from overgrowing. When overgrowth occurs certain symptoms will start to present themselves such as abdominal pain, fatigue and bloating..

In order to follow a yeast free diet one has to follow certain dietary restrictions such as eliminating any foods that contain large amounts of yeast. Items that fall into this category are bread, cookies, pastries and pretzels to name a few. Other things to be avoided include items with vinegar in them and any fermented foods. Finally one should avoid any type of moldy food such as cheese, mushrooms, pickled meats and some types of nuts.

Those suffering from yeast intolerance usually having cravings for foods high in sugar. Fight that urge! When following a no yeast diet one should try and avoid things like processed sugars, chocolate, maple syrup and honey. Another thing to avoid is fruits high in sugar like grapes, dates, raisins and fruit juices.

If you are faithful to this diet you should begin to notice a lot of changes within 3 to 6 six weeks. During this time a large amount of the yeast in your body will have starved and died off. You will begin to feel and look a lot healthier as the diets rids the body of all the nasty toxins that had been built up inside and you should feel much more energetic.

Be aware! During the first few weeks as your body is dumping all these yeast toxins you may feel flu like symptoms, weakness and fatigue. Don't be alarmed your body will rebound quickly and this is just a sign that the diet is working. Soon the toxins will be out of your system and you'll begin to feel like a new person.

In order to maintain these affects you should continue to avoid yeast but after the initial six weeks go ahead and begin to add some small amounts of other restricted foods into your diet. Now don't go overboard. Just reintroduce one new food back at a time. This way you can track what type of affects the food has on your body. If it has negative affects then take it out and avoid it in the future. I hope some of this yeast free diet information was helpful.

Good luck and healthy eating!
