You Are Divine

In lesson two of Bob Proctors program, he cites the Indian saint Vivecananda, who lived over hundred years ago, with the words:

All the power in the universe are already ours
It is we, who have put our hands before our eyes
and cry that it is dark.

...

There is no help for you outside of yourself;
You are the creator of the universe - like the silkworm
you have built a cocoon around yourself...
Burst your own cocoon and come out as the
beautiful butterfly, as the free soul.

Then alone you will see Truth.
In one word, this ideal is that you are divine.
God sits in the temple of every human body.

Wow, what a statement. And one of the points every human being comes to his or her limits. Some of us have an idea of God as an old man with white beard, who lives anywhere out there or up there in heaven, looking down to us and judging what we are doing all the time.

And he says you, or better said we are divine. We are part of God, or God is part of us. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense - much more than the imagination of the old man, doesn't it?
When God is part of us and of everything in this universe, than not only he is part of us, but actually we are part of him.

Interesting thought, isn't it? Independent how every single one of us define God - I'm sure everyone has his or her own interpretation of the power we call God - let's think about it for a minute. What does this mean to us?

I mean, it is quite comfortable to have someone up there in heaven who is responsible for everything what happens to us. Whether good or bad things happens to us - God is responsible and when we made anything wrong, we can ask for forgiveness.

But if we are part of god or he is part of us, that means we are responsible, we are the creators of our own life. Like everything, this has advantages and disadvantages - on one hand that means we have the power to create every life we want to have, on the other hand, there is no longer anyone to blame for the life we already have.

What about you? Do you think you are divine? Do you think you are the creator of your circumstances or the victim of them? Dependent on your answer, it will make a huge difference in your life.
