You Are Killing Your Email Response If You Do These 3 Things!

Even if you have an opt-in list, you can't just send your members any kind of promotional materials that you want. Unsubscribes from your newsletter is a thing that any list owners would want to avoid.

Many people now are being flooded with many spam mails and you as a list owner will have to do your very best to by pass all the spam filters in order to get through to your members.

Even though your members consented to being on the list by subscribing themselves, just don't forget to put an unsubscribe feature every time you do a mailing to them.

It is crucial to keep your list clean and manageable. Manage it by using the available tools that comes with your mailing list service providers.

Avoid getting into trouble with the law and the internet service providers. Keep your business operations clean so that your reputation as a legitimate businessman is secured.

But if you are not doing it that well and you keep doing some of the wrong things, then your email response is going to suffer. Here are three things that you must avoid so that you don't kill your email response.

1. Unsuccessful Sends

You need to take note of your unsuccessful sends. These are the bounced emails that are not delivered to the recipients. There are many reasons for bounced emails, such as busy servers.

But all you need to do is to make a note on all the bounced emails and erase that email account from your list so that you have an actual accurate statistics and records.

You might also like to check for misspells as one common mistake is when an N instead of an M is placed in the .com area.

2. Unsubscribe Feature

Always provide an unsubscribe feature in your site and an unsubscribe link in your mails. If someone contacted you for an unsubscribe request, always honor that and immediately remove them from your list.

If you don't remove them, you will be considered as sending spam mails if you carry on sending them future emails.

Even worse is when you are being reported as a spammer, your business can get into trouble with the law and blacklisted by the many internet service providers.

3. Disturbing Content

Pornographic or shocking and disturbing content is absolutely no-no. Always stick to your business nature and try not to stray into any kind of controversial issues.

Use these tips well and you can have a healthy relationship with your subscribers and avoid any run ins with the law when sending simple emails to them.
