Good sales copy will make any product sound like it is vitally necessary to have.
You want to make your product sound like it is a "must have" item. You can do this by appealing directly to the needs of your potential customers. If you are working in the "pet grooming" niche, then there is a good chance that your potential readers will share a common need - they want to know how to groom their pets. Play into this need and represent your product in a way to make it sound like it is an absolutely necessity to groom a pet properly.
Writing great sales copy comes with a lot of practice.
For example, When you write a new sales page, you should write out each section at least two different times to see which version works the best. Try to take a different approach in both of the versions to create variety. If you are writing sales copy for a web site, then you can actually test out both versions and see which one is more effective. This is a great way to get real feedback for your copywriting skills

The trick to writing great sales copy is to think like a customer.
Write out your copy in a way that would make you want to buy your own product. Don't play too much into using "hype" words, or making promises that can't be fulfilled. Potential customers can recognize a scam pretty quickly.
