There was once a good man, who lived his life decently.
He had dreams & desires however, he never acted upon them.
Maybe it was that he didn’t see himself worthy of those dreams & desires, or maybe it was because he was happy to stay in his comfort zone.
Coasting through life until the day he was on his death bed.
As he took in his last breath of air, he closed his eyes & said goodbye to the world for the last time.
At that instant the angels flew down & lifted his soul to heaven.
Upon their arrival to heaven, they gave the man a tour.
During their tour the man, notice a door.
“What’s behind that door?” The man asked.
The angels looked at each other as if they’d been dreading the question.
“We’re not allowed to keep you from opening that door, but please believe us – you don’t want to go in there.”
As the man turned his head from the door to look at the angels, they were gone.
The more he looked at the door, the more curious he became.
Thoughts of “What could be behind that door?” kept on swimming in his head.
He rushed over to the door, turned the handle, he couldn’t believe what he saw.
The room was filled with wonderful things imaginable, a beautiful home, a loving relationship, riches beyond measure, all of the things he wanted & desired when he was alive.
He was in total shock. As he turned his head from the door, the angels were looking at him with a sad look on their face.
“Why didn’t you want me to look into the room. It’s full of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen!”
“Those were all the things you were meant to have while you were on earth, but you never believed you can have them.”
Just imagine going through life, reaching the end, only to realise you could have had, whatever you want. How mad would you be?
Just stop for a moment & think, if you knew you could not fail, what would you attempt?
If you could have anything that you would really want, what would that be?
