You Won’t Go Wrong Buying A Giant Ocr3 Road Bike

Back a few years ago I was wanting to own a half decent road bike. When my employers decided to help his employees to start cycling to work I jumped at the chance and purchased a Giant OCR3 road bike. The bike looked really good to me so I bought it. It turned out to be a real keeper.

The bike really is fairly aggressive with a fairly low handlebar. While the frame is really quite light welded aluminum with very neat welds. I also liked the geometry as it just seemed to feel right to me, although with the handlebars set low it might take you a bit to get used to especially if you’re new to road bikes. My back got a little sore the first couple of rides, however I soon adjusted. My bike featured a Shimano Tiagra setup 27 speed with 3 front gears and 9 rear. This makes it fairly good for climbing though I never find it easy and very fast on the level.

Any entry level road bike from a well-known maker like Giant you will find to be of good quality though you may find them a little heavier than the more expensive bikes form the same manufacturer. My only complaint was that the wheels wouldn't seem to stay true and the tires weren’t that good. You'll probably want to upgrade them fairly quickly like me.

Money seems to always be an issue for most of us. So I started checking out some used bikes online and that’s where I got my Giant OCR3 road bike for only 300. When I look at them new they seemed to be starting around 700 which isn’t bad but it was still too much for me.

I have to admit I wasn’t thinking of buying a Giant. Not that I didn’t want one I just was looking at some of the other main brand bikes. The minute I saw this bike, I fell in love with its looks but I wasn’t sure about its quality or how it would perform. So I asked around locally about the Giant brand of bikes and was surprised to hear that the name was well known and liked. In fact Giant road bikes are one of the most sought after brands of road bikes around.

I also found out that while there are several decent brands on the market, Giant bikes are one of the best when it comes to getting value for your money. They have a huge range from entry level aluminum framed road bike, to top end race bike up around ten thousand dollars. They also have a large number of different female specific bikes available.

Over the years I have upgraded to a better road bike as I have got more and more into the sport of racing and going on long distance rides but I still love and use my Giant OCR3 road bike from time to time.

If you’re looking for a great road bike or any other bike for that matter you won’t go wrong buying a Giant.
