You'd Better Be Blogging Your Articles

Writing articles? Then you should have a blog. And an autoresponder. And a lead capture page. But let’s focus on the blog for now. There are some essentials to maintaining a blog that others will read—and that will make you money.

So why do you need a blog if you write articles? Well, because it’s as easy as pie to post an article on your blog and you’re already doing it anyway when you submit it to article directories. Why not take a couple minutes to post it on your blog? This way you will be able to build a relationship with people. People that are interested in what you have to offer will through your posts. Also make sure you let others know they can use your articles if they also use your signature box—and include your signature box on each post.

What are some things you should blog about? You should blog about YOU. Talk about your success in whatever you do. If it’s some form of internet marketing, talk about what has worked for you and what hasn’t. People will appreciate what you’ve learned. If you’re like me, you’ve done your homework before you buy products. You research others’ testimonials. That’s why sales pages almost always offer testimonials. This will give you credibility. When you only promote what works, people might think you are only trying to sell products, possibly ones you’ve never used. So show people what hasn’t worked for you and it will keep people coming back to your blog for more. Your sincerity will increase your credibility and, not only will customers buy from you, they’ll keep coming back for more.

So what’s the point? Well a blog can earn you money directly and indirectly. Adsense on your blog is one way to make money. And if you have hundreds of visitors a month, this will add up to decent money. But indirectly is where you can really make some money. You can promote other businesses using affiliate links. You can promote a network marketing business. You can have a lead capture box that links to an autoresponder which will help you to build a relationship with your customers. These are just some ideas to get you started. The idea is to make your blog your own, to build a relationship to your blog posts, and to offer value to your customers.
