Your Content - Massively Exploit It

I mean "exploit" in as positive a way as you can imagine. Don't accept mediocre contents from yourself nor leave it sitting in one place, and one place only, for ever. In other words, keep it live and moving.

1 Re-use content. For example, you've written some good articles and you've submitted them to article directories. You might even put them on your blog. This is where a lot of people stop. It's a waste. You can take that same content and convert it into an ebook to sell. Then convert that ebook into a CD, video or ecourse. You can package your material together and sell as one lot. There are plenty of other ways to re-use it.

2 Play with and extend others' content. You should never copy other people's content. It is illegal. What I mean here is find a topic or issue someone else has wrtten about and elaborate on it or pursue it further or argue against it, putting your opposing ideas. You should reference the other's content and make it clear what you're doing. In this way, you're taking the reader into a wider conversation than simply reading fragmented bits of information. That is, you're informing them.

3 Elaborate your main ideas. Decide what the key ideas, issues, products, methods and so on are that you focus on in your work in internet marketing. Give information about them from straightforward definitions to full-blown explanations and how the customer can use them to their benefit.

4 Be productive. Make sure you're spending time on producing information and products which are relevant to your customers' needs and wants, and also help them understand or take action in their business. If you give valuable stuff in your free content, you can build trust and are more likely to get purchases down the line.
