Your Partner Says I Want To Breakup

It's not something that anyone wants to hear, but the threat of a breakup can always be imminent in some cases. What do you do if your partner comes to you and says they want to break up? There are many emotions that might come to you, but the important thing here is to not lose your cool. You need to be calm, and you need to be capable of having a rational conversation.

If you feel that you cannot have a rational conversation, then you might consider that is the reason your partner wants to break up with you. If that is not the case, then there are a few things that you should think about. We will give you some practical breakup advice that you can use in the even this terrible event ever does happen to you.

First of all you need to find out WHY your partner wants to break up. Sometimes they might not want to talk about it, or sometimes they may be evasive. If they don't want to discuss it, then there is not much you can do, but if you wait a few days, they may be more willing to talk.

If you cannot get them to talk about it, then you will need to take some time to reflect and figure out what went wrong. For instance, can you think of the last time you did anything for your partner? Did you take them out to dinner? Did you help with the chores? Even the smallest things might lead to a breakup, so you need to take them into consideration even if you don't want to.

In addition to doing some soul searching, it would be best to consult outside help. In many cases your friends and family might be able to see the situation much clearer than you ever could, and if that is the case, you must seek their help and take their advice. Perhaps they can see you in a much clearer light as well.

There are many reasons why a breakup might occur, but as soon as you get the chance, talk to your partner and try to get to the bottom of it. Remember that right now the last thing you want to do is cast blame because that can lead to fighting. As you probably know, fighting can easily lead to the end of the relationship and that is the last thing you want at this point.

A relationship can be the strongest thing in the universe and at the same time be the most fragile thing known to man. You must take care of it, and you must make sure you are doing your part. Sometimes you won't be able to avoid a breakup, but being alert and making sure the needs of your partner are met, you should experience a long and healthy relationship. Just remember that sometimes two people are just not right for each other, and in that case a breakup is inevitable. It all depends on the situation and the people involved.
