Zoo In Belgrade

In 1986, Vuk Bojovic became the manager of the zoo and he has been running it up to the present day. He has brought many improvements as far as the living conditions of the animals and the attraction of the zoo are concerned. Many new facilities are introduced, infrastructure is improved, there are many fountains, statues and sculptures in the zoo and the most famous one is the statue of the legendary chimp Sami.

The Belgrade Zoo is always crowded with visitors especially during the summer when it is open all day. The position of the zoo is favorable because it is situated near many hotels in Belgrade, like Villa Kalemegdan and Admiral Club, and their guests always find some time to take a walk through this magnificent Zoological garden – the Good Hope Garden.
