Zibits Remote Control Robot Toys - A Best Selling Christmas Toy Of 2010.

2010 turned out to be a great year for the Zibit! Due to the popularity of these toys, they sold out very quickly in the run up to Christmas and by December they were quite hard to obtain in the stores, although could still be obtained by buying a playset that came bundled with a Zibit.

Zibits are small adorable plastic remote control robotic toys (just over 2 inches tall), that are able to move forwards and rotate 360 degrees. You will find 12 unique Zibit models to choose from and each one has distinct appearance. All of the Zibits have LED flashing lights and sound effects.

The twelve Zibits are known as: Alpha, Clunk, Dex, Dinc, Gek, Go-b, Gunk, Scrapz, Shox, Spex, Sproc and Tank. These super toys are available at a cost of around £10, so are ideally suited for Birthday or Christmas presents.

Furthermore, there are now various playsets obtainable for the Zibits, the most popular being the 'Power Lab Playset', additionally there is also the 'Lightning Ball Battle Arena', 'Zorr Mine Shaft' and 'Z-Crane'.

These robotic toys are brilliant for the kids, but the grown ups can have great fun with them too. Several Zibits can be operated simultaneously as they function on different frequencies, so they are superb for having races with friends and family.

Zibits are operated using 3 LR 44 coin cell batteries (supplied with the Zibit). A small switch at the side of the head is used to turn the Zibits on / off, however they also automatically power off when left unused for a period of time.

Zibits have three wheels in the base, one of these spins 360 degrees and controls the direction the Zibit Robot travels. These small guys do move quite fast, and may take a short while to get used to controlling them properly.

The Zibit Remote Control comes with a small sized joystick style of controller that can only be shifted up and down, up makes the robot move forward, whilst down causes the robot to spin round. The sound effects are produced from the remote control when the joystick is used to move the robot. The Zibit remote control uses 2 AAA batteries (that are not included).

We have been using the Zibits frequently for a few months now, without needing to change the batteries, and we've heard that they last for quite some time.

Every Zibit package comes with a Zibit Robot, the Remote Control and Instruction sheet.
