When we were still young, our grandfathers always made us look at the sky. They always told us stories. This is because our grandfathers only relied on the stars and planets in the different aspects of their lives. Thus, it is inevitable that the world of astrology was conceptualized and has already been a part of our life.

In the world of Astrology, certain people studied the heavens to seek for truth and guidance. Thus, these people came up with horoscopes and other new concepts. Recent ideas are brought up and one of these is about Zodiac signs. Zodiac signs have been very well- studied these past few years. It has become a part of our being. It has been believed to be telling us about our personality depending on what zodiac sign you have. To know the zodiac signs, one will have to give his birth date. But before anything else, we must know how the zodiac signs came about.

Every year, the sun moves toward the east in a complete circle around the sky. The sun is in the ecliptic plane and follows this path. Any constellation containing the ecliptic is called a zodiac constellation.

As the sun moves eastwardly, it travels unto the different constellations; thus, the zodiac signs came about.

When you can see a red star that varies in brightness near Pegasus and Andromeda, then you are looking at Pisces. It has been told that Venus and Cupid escaped from Typhoon by swimming through the sea as two fishes.
If one can see a small constellation, with only two easily-visible stars, then it is Aries symbolized by a Ram with Golden Fleece that could fly through the air.
Taurus is represented by a bull. According to myth, Jupiter turned himself into a bull to carry off Europa, daughter of the King of Crete.

Gemini are twin brothers. They are the protectors of ships and sailors, who swore oaths by them. You look for the two bright stars, Castor and Pollux, which together form one vertex of the winter hexagon.

Next zodiac is cancer, a crab, sent by Juno to kill Hercules, who squashed it with his foot.
Leo is a lion. It is a prehistoric constellation, often associated with royalty.

Virgo is a maiden, goddess of farms and harvest, holding a shock of wheat.
 
Sun was in Libra during the autumn equinox when the Romans chopped off the claws of Scorpius to create this constellation.

Scorpio tells a story about Scorpion sent by Gaia to kill Orion when Orion boasted he would slay all the animals of the Earth; now Orion and Scorpius circle each other on opposite sides of the sky.
 
Sagitarrius, the Archer, a centaur (half man and half horse) archer named Chiron, shooting an arrow.
 
Capricorn is a sea Goat. Pan only partly succeeded in turning himself from a goat into a fish.
 
Aquarius is a water carrier. It is a  Babylonian constellation.
 
All of these zodiac signs tell about different personalities. You only have to find out what zodiac sign you belong to with regards to you birth date. But it doesn’t mean that whatever zodiac sign you have, it tells the whole personality of you. It only tells a little part of you. It is only you who can complete yourself by being who you are not by being what your zodiac sign is.
