Zune Music Downloads - Which Sites?

Zune, Ipod, Rio....with all of the different mp3 players and a huge selection of music sites, where does one go to download music to Zune? Sure you can google until your wrist gives out, but how do you know what to look for? Are you going to end up on some shady network that sends you spam and viruses, or are you going to luck out and find a place where it's all about one thing: music for your Zune? What sites are recommended? What things should you be looking for? Are there any sites that give me what I want – songs for my Zune?

If that's what you're after, then here is a list of simple questions you should be asking yourself when evaluating sites to download songs for Zune.

who is the supplier - is it some shady network or a real website?
what is the quality of the tracks? - are they high CD-quality tracks or low-quality ones?
how safe are the downloads? - am I going to have viruses and spyware sent to me instead of the songs for my Zune?
how big is their music library? - do they have only a small selection or do they boast a massive library that will cater to everyone?
are the downloads compatible with the Zune? - what format are these songs? will the downloaded songs play on my Zune without any effort on my part?
