Screen Printing

It is possible to screen print on curved items, however, the difficulty and added expense make this impractical for most applications.

Vinyl inks are the best inks for printing signs and bumper stickers. They are fairly durable and adhere well to sign material. However, they are air drying so care must be taken to prevent the ink from drying in the screens.

It takes some time to setup a screen to screen print making this method inefficient for small runs of 12 or fewer prints. However, once the stencil is made, many prints can be made quickly making screen printing ideal for bulk printing. Screen printing is currently the most popular method for bulk printing t-shirts.

The material cost of screen printing is minimal. A large design on a t-shirt costs no more than $0.25 As volume increases, the price per print goes down.
