Tattoos have always been something that interested me. I wanted one, but had no idea how to go about choosing where on my body to get it or what design to get. I had to do some more research and find out what suited me the best. I knew that I didn't want a tattoo that would be difficult to cover up. You know how it is. There are some occasions and situations when you just do not want a tattoo peaking out for everyone to see. At the same time, I wanted it in a place where I could easily show it off it I so desired. Being a woman, I also wanted it in a place that would make it look sexy and trashy. All of things considered, I decided upon a lower back tattoo. The lower back is a perfect option that would be easily hidden or shown and it is a very sexy spot for a woman's tattoo.
After deciding on where I should have a tattoo, the next thing to consider will be the tattoo design I wish to have. This part would not be easy for there are lots of tattoo designs for a lower back tattoo available for you to choose from. I realized that in choosing a lower back tattoo design it has to be the right size. This means that it should look right and emphasize the area. I would definitely choose a design that would fit in the bend of my back or one that would draw attention to the curve my hips. A small design would not look good and a large design would outshine the area would devastate the subtle look I am aspiring for. I had to find something that would be just right so it meets my desired look. I have taken a look at some lower back tattoo designs and I found one that seemed wonderful. A butterfly is a classic design that best suits my personality. The body of the butterfly would on top form on the curvature of my back and the wings would be spreading out that would stress my curvy hips. I could also personalize the colour so that it suits my personality. Having a tattoo is not an easy decision to make; it has to be well decided before finally having a lower back tattoo for the reason that a tattoo is forever that I should live with this for the rest of my life.
I decided that I would go with the butterfly design, but that I would have the tattoo artist customize the design a bit. The original design had very thick lines with wings that were quite large. I had the artist lighten the lines and scale down the wings to make it a perfect fit for my body. It was light, yet made an impact. He pressed the stenciled design onto my lower back and I got to check it out in the mirror before he began the actual tattooing. I really liked the look and my mind was finally set on getting this lower back tattoo. I was positive that I would be happy with the results.
A few weeks after I got my tattoo, some of my best girlfriends and I went to the club one night. I wore a shirt that was short enough to d but my new lower back tattoo. It seemed almost right away I started getting compliments on it from guys and girls. I was asked often where I got it done and who came up with the design. I explained how I had went through the process of choosing the position on the lower back and how I went through many tatoo designs before making my final choice. I also explained how I had the tattoo artist customize the design to suit me. It was funny how many people didn't know that you could have tattoo design changed to suit your tastes. After that night I felt so good about getting my lower back tattoo. It works for me during the day when I can cover it up at work and it is fun to show it off at night when I go out. I am so glad that I took the time to think through my tattoo instead of just going out and getting the first good tattoo design I saw. This is definitely one of the best decisions that I have made and one I am extremely happy to live with.
