Similarly for pond ecosystem, it’s necessary to maintain the proper level of the dissolved oxygen. This factor needs to be monitored for maintaining the healthy ecosystem in the pond. The amount of dissolved oxygen is determined in terms of ppm. This factor ppm; i.e. parts per millions determines the adequate amount of dissolved oxygen in the pond ecosystem. The dissolved oxygen that is typically required is 4 to 5 ppm.
