A World of Consumer Electronics: The Annual Consumer Electronics Show
Would you enjoy seeing a world of consumer electronics? The annual International CES, Consumer Electronics Show, will soon be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from January 8 to January 11, 2007. Each year, the International Consumer Electronics Show is held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, being the main exhibition, with the Las Vegas Hilton and the Sands Expo and Convention Center being the smaller extended exhibitions of the annual CES. At the International Consumer Electronics Show, the newest electronics are introduced for public viewing, including past introductions of the most popular electronics on the market today. Some of the past electronics introduced at the CES are the VCR in 1970, the Laserdisc in 1974, Pong in 1975, Camcorder in 1981, the CD in 1981, Nintendo Entertainment Center in 1985, DVD in 1996, DVR in 1999, and the HDTV DVD players in 2005. At this world of consumer electronics exhibitions, electronics manufacturers from across the world have introduced electronics fads that have, down through the years, become our most beloved forms of entertainment and communications. In 2005, Samsung introduced its 102-inch plasma television, and Bill Gates made the keynote speech. The CES attracts around 150,000 visitors to is annual world of consumer electronics' exhibition per year, and the 2007 CES is sure to draw as many or more spectators who can't wait to see what else is up the sleeves of the mega-electronics companies that have become household names among American consumers of electronics.
